Corporate Social Responsibility

Local support for a local community

As a small local employer we are proud to give something back to our community where we live and work.

Wessex heavy Horse SocietyWe are a long term supporter of Shaftesbury Football club. We provide their mini bus to help move the team around to their matches. We do this because many of our customers our local schools and their children benefit from an excellent local football facility. By providing a mini bus this supports our belief that coach travel is better for the environment than car travel - the alternative was car transport by parents – Our mini bus helps move the whole team and their kit!

We also provide sponsorship to the local Wessex Heavy Horse Society – remembering that the history of transport and the first stage coach owes its gratitude to the original horse power! These amazing horses deserve our respect and admiration and the local show helps remind younger generations of times past.

Sustainable Travel

Reduction

We will always endeavour to operate a fleet which gives the best emission standards. Two of our fleet are 2007 engines operating to euro 4 emission standards.

As a local coach company we endeavour to always source work locally to prevent excess mileage being incurred in picking up our customers.

Recycle

We are always amazed at how much rubbish we collect which has been left behind by passengers (about 1 small skip full each month). We have instigated a recycling programme for all our rubbish with a local recycling firm.

Replace

We operate our business from the family farm and as such have our own tree planting scheme for carbon offset. To date we have planted 2000 trees with plans for further planting schemes.

Coach travel is still the most environmentally friendly way to travel with lower emissions than trains, planes and cars.
